Prince Of Persia: The Forgotten Sands Prince Is Not My Prince

Here's the official trailer for Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, which is a lot like the developer diary released early last month, only without developers inconsiderately talking over it so we can get to know this new/old Prince.

I'm wondering how the unrelated Disney film will colour fan's perception of this game. After all, we've spent the past year poring over stills and trailers of Jake Gyllenhaal as the Prince. I suppose to some of us he's become the Prince, so to see the main character of this game, who isn't quite Jake or the Prince from any recent Ubisoft PoP games is a little bit unnerving. Who is this guy?

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is due out on May 18 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, PSP, Wii, and DS. Prince of Persia: Sands of Time hits theatres on May 28th.

Seriously? So after 3 exceptional games from 2003 - 2006 with Yuri Lowenthal's (fantastic) Prince, and only one year or so with 'Chesty' Jake, you think the latter is the, for lack of a better term, 'true' Prince? For me it's fantastic to hear the Sands of Time Prince again! I'm looking forward to some more awesome monologue's whilst platforming in Forgotten Sands =D

I find it funny everyone forgets even Ubisoft's Prince ISN'T the Prince. That one has been M.I.A since POP2.

Just finished replaying the Sands of Time in anticipation of this, and having the original voice is definately top billin'. I only hope there is more than one path to take with bigger areas this time around. If the enemies have been made any easier to kill to appeal to the kiddies I'll be pissed, the harder the better... right girls?

This is the first game set in the Sands of Time continuity made for current generation consoles and it's showing. Combat looks flashier than ever and some of those new powers look great. This could well be a must-buy for fans of the trilogy.

I need to play through the trilogy, but I seem to be getting bad vibes from this game but I hope they are wrong. Hopefully will be a 'must-by'
