The 4 Heroes Of Light May Be Your Next Final Fantasy Fix

Square Enix may be bringing its lovely looking Final Fantasy spin-off stateside, with the company trademarking The 4 Heroes Of Light, a still unofficially announced video game from the RPG publisher.

More than likely, that's the Western name (or part of the name) of Hikari no 4 Senshi: Final Fantasy Gaiden, released on the Nintendo DS in Japan this past October. It's a game we're looking forward to, given that we named it among the best video game costume and character design from 2009. The character design work from Akihiko Yoshida, who contributed to Vagrant Story, Final Fantasy Tactics and Final Fantasy XII, among others, might be worth keeping this one on your list of future Nintendo DS purchases.

Square Enix has not yet announced a localised version of Hikari no 4 Senshi: Final Fantasy Gaiden, but there's not much the company won't export these days.

What I love about their outfits, and all outfits on characters from stuff like this, is ow impractical and over the top they look.

You know, theres a lot more to 'design' then simply adding as much crap as you possibly can to a character/set/lounge.

Case in point: your at your grandmas house, you go to sit on the couch, its covered in horrible cushions, that look kinda nice but allow you no room to sit.

Thats how I feel when I look at stuff like this, like they just kept throwing crap on and dont know what the word subtle means.

This looks cool to a five year old, who still hasnt grown large enough to get pissed by so many cushions.

This is actually pretty tame compared to other Final Fantasy art.

      hahaha quite true,

But if every game had "practical" Attire it would be a bit boring. Lots of people in black bullet proof vests or suits of armor. No embellishments because they get in the way.

      No super heros with capes!

I think each game to what suits their style, It is final "fantasy" after all.

If it plays like old-school FF I'm there!!!

Right behind you...but I've got a feeling that's not the case...an evil...cold...real time battle system feeling...
Actually I love real time battle systems.
But it's ATB's that got me started on the whole JRPG thing!
