The Whispered World Quietly Slips Onto Steam

Daedalic Entertainment's acclaimed adventure game The Whispered World is finally available for purchase on Steam, letting North American players step into the role of Sadwick, the sad clown who doesn't know that he'll destroy the world in three days.

At least that's how the narrator introduces us to Sadwick in the opening sequence of The Whispered World. The game is an old-school, point and click adventure game with gorgeous hand-drawn animation that brings to mind the classic fantasy cartoons of ages past. I've not had a chance to delve into the game long enough to really get a feel for it, but the lovely haunting music and wondrous visuals have already placed it at the top of my must-play list.

Right now Steam has the game available at 10 per cent off the normal $US29.99 price, so it would be a good time to get your hands on the adventure game that filled the bottom of its official website with awards.

Already towards the back end of chapter 2, and will happily recommend it. I might be biased as an avid adventure gamer, but it's one of the best games I've played in a long time (though I expect outside the adventure gaming community, few would agree with me -_-)

Apparently I'm the only one who wishes to acknowledge how awesome this is :(

No you are not alone, there are other gamers who do appreciate a good adventure game.
