Too Early For Tron: Legacy Sequel?

Apparently not! Tron: Legacy, the sequel to the 1982 sci-fi film about a virtual game world, won't be out until this December. Instead of waiting to see how it does, Disney has already started work on a Legacy sequel.

Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, best known for writing episodes of Lost, have been hired to write the screenplay. Granted, if Legacy bombs, their screenplay will most likely not see the light of day.

Since they've just been hired to pen the script, it is obviously not yet know whether the Legacy sequel will feature stars Jeff Bridges, Garrett Hedlund and Olivia Wilde.

Aiming a little too high Disney?

"Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, best known for writing episodes of Lost"

As soon as I read that, every single bit of faith, as little as it may have been, just went out the window.

This is gonna bomb so hard Disney will need a fallout shelter. Only reason to check it out will be for sentimental value.

This is not news. Every movie/book/game with the potential to be serialized will have serious plans being drafted for sequels well before release.

Disney's become more of a CEO infected wound than a place were dreams come to life, i'll bet Walts spinning in his fridge.
