Dead Space 2 Will Haunt The PC

After some back and forth about the fate of the PC version of Visceral Games' Dead Space 2, it appears the sci-fi horror game will indeed scare up a release on Windows.

Electronic Arts listed the PC version of Dead Space 2 on its slate of fiscal 2011 releases, with the Visceral Games developed sequel on tap for release between January 1 and March 31 of next year. The game is also listed for a release on "handheld/mobile" platforms, which could mean a version for the PSP, Nintendo DS, iPhone or iPad.

The official Dead Space Twitter later noted that "Dead Space PC lovers can relax! Dead Space 2 is officially coming to PC."

    Finally! Sold, to me!

Provided there's no ridiculous "always online" DRM, I'll buy it on launch day. Dead Space was the best horror game in years.

...and now that I think about it, probably the closest we will ever get to a new game in the System Shock universe.

Nice good win for the PC crowd. I have the first game on PS3 but I've been mulling over picking it up on PC in a Steam sale.

Hopefully the controls aren't as bad as they were in the first game, felt sloppy and clearly ported.

I think that were suppose to be that way.... Try instantly turning around in real life while wearing a heavy back pack or training weights. Let alone a freaking huge suit of metal. I think you will find yourself falling over very quickly which im guessing is what they were going for.
