Eight More Fighters Added To EA Sports MMA

Andre Arlovski, Lyle Beerbohm, Roger Gracie, Alistair Overeem, Kevin Randleman, Vitor Ribeiro, Murilo “Ninja” Rua and Fabricio Werdum. Heard of those guys? Me either. But they’re in the roster for EA Sports MMA – and a new batch of screens.

Arlovski and Randleman are a former UFC heavyweight titleists, Overeem is the current Strikeforce heavyweight champion at 32-11-0; Werdum has a bigtime fight coming up June 26 with a name I do recognise, Fedor Emelianenko (also appearing in EA Sports MMA. If you want to familiarise yourself with these cats further, everyone except for Mr Rua is battling at this weekend’s Strikeforce event in St. Louis

    • I’ll sacrifice the superstars for better gameplay. UFC Undisputed 2010 is as rigid as 2009. This will kill it.

    • Roger Gracie b-list? righto mate.

One of the most dominant BJJ practitioners of all time who is only now entering MMA.

    • They need to start giving us some details on the ground game. I thought the fight night analogue stick system was good, if they can transfer it well to this game then UFC has some serious competition.

UFC 2009 uses the same stick system for their ground transitions, but at most times it felt like I was just twirling the stick hoping for the best rather than planning out my moves.

  • They are b list fighters:( but the graphs look good i still worry about there crappy looking movement they keep showing with there gameplay but the pics do look good

  • B-List fighters my arse, TUF’ers be invading Kotaku. You have 2 Sherdog Top 10 Heavyweights, current Strikeforce HW Champion, and an ADCC and 8 time Mundial Champion in this announcement. Anyone who knows a thing or two about MMA knows these are fantastic additions to the roster.
