It’s rare that Sony makes announcements about new PlayStation 2 games, but not too surprising when that game is Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow, the latest PSP game to come to the company’s last-generation console.
The portable Syphon Filter, originally released in 2007 – garnering “Game of the Year” accolades from at least one outlet – will make the leap from the PSP to the PS2 on June 1, giving previous-gen gamers something to do with their summer. The re-release of Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow will hit alongside the Syphon Filter digital graphic novel, coming to the PlayStation Store this summer as well.
With a few hundred thousand new PlayStation 2 owners out there, as of the holidays, we can’t say that a two and a half year old port of a popular franchise is all that surprising. Instead, it just makes us think of the other PSP games that deserve a PS2 upgrade. Any suggestions?
