WIN! Prince Of Persia PS3 Game & Guide

Everyone loved Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Which is why the new Prince of Persia - out this week - is ostensibly a sequel to everyone's favourite Prince of Persia game. And it's really good. Wanna win it?

Thanks to Ubisoft we have EIGHT copies of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands to give away this week. That's four copies on PlayStation 3 and four on Xbox 360.

We also have EIGHT Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands official Prima guides as well, pictured. So you win the game and the guide. If you win, that is.

We already gave away five copies last week. That means there are now just two left for today and tomorrow. And yes, this is the last PS3 copy up for grabs.

How do you enter?

Easy. It's haiku time once more. All you have to do is write a Prince of Persia themed haiku in the comments below. Remember: a haiku has three lines consisting of five, seven and five syllables.

Entries for today's PS3 draw will close at midnight tonight. No multiple entries please - but you may enter the next draw using a new haiku. Make sure you leave a valid email or comment via Facebook Connect.

And Monday's 360 winner is...

Alex Dullard!

spikes the see Didn’t God! My balls got I’ve show I’ll walls on running While pikes with Persians bad from run To Why? Nikes of pair new a me got I

Clever use of the rewind there, Alex. Also, if it's any consolation to Mr Explody, Jimu_Hsien and lexielab, you guys ran Alex all the way.

Good choice, that one made me crack up!!

Now i can redo my one so its actually a limmerick this time around :P

Gad dammint, just finished doing mine up... only to read the comp details properly... and see that its ONLY a haiku now. Dammit, i was so impressed with my new limmerick :P

haha we all saw that coming - well done Alex - awesome entry

Sweet! Thanks David (& Ubisoft etc). Very happy with this, as I was really struggling with coming up with another haiku for tomorrow's comp.

      Wall ran too early,
      Dagger depleted, Prince falls.
      Not how it happened!

I think that the "that's not how it happened!" is the best death retcon tool in video game history. It really added to the immersion of the sand of time, and made me feel like i was actually having a fantastical story told to me. I guess it helped I played it when I was much younger, which helped add to that immersion, too. My fond memories of Sands of time almost rival my fond memories of Ocarina of Time. Haha, gushing over childhood memories. Nice.

dunno why it replied to yours.... oh well!

    Destiny beats prince.
    Impossible, not just hard,
    Is fate reversing.

The Prince of Persia games have taught me that reversing the normal flow of things can often give a more favourable outcome...

By the way, great work Alex.

I hadn't actually read your poem when I put this together, so I'm going to claim independent invention of the whole reverse-the-words schtick. Hopefully readability both ways is unique enough.

'Scool. Even if you had stolen the idea, I actually stole the idea from one of the haikus the other day that I thought was brilliant:

        Prince, Persian. Save! To
        battle! Rewinding battle,
        to save persian prince.

    His legs soar skyward
    Sword glistening from above
    Landing uncertain

Yeah, very well done Alex D.

    Jump pit, avoid spike,
must rescue her from that fate.
    Success; why so lost?

    My baby girl stares
As I play Prince of Persia
    She'll pwn n00bs one day

    Persian limerick
    oops that was for yesterday
    witness my failure

    The sands flow swift and
    sure; one direction. Time; an
    ocean in a storm.

    The Prince saves Persia
    Dualshock 3 rumbles wildly
    You have earned trophy

    OK here goes...

    The Prince travelled back
    Nineteen Fifty Five; Great Scott
    Be warned; Parkinsons

      This actually made me laugh!
      Loving the referance man, goodluck!

Thanks dude. I posted earlier saying I had no idea then BAM! I love BTTF!

    I recall the last
    PoP game, all cell-shaded; try
    reversing that, prince!

I'm terrible at hiaku's, but gave it a shot...

    Street date is broken
    Forgotten Sands now released
    Work not important

the prince had powers from djinns
which he used so that he could win
    the many battles ahead
    fraught with danger and dread
then finally get Farah into bed

    haiku is like spikes
on which i fall to my death
    yay, i still have sand

Yes, having to think of a new one everyday is killing my brain!!

    Skilled at dodging traps
But he doesn't see the hole
    Gravity laughs last.

    Prince in sandy place
    It must be very itchy
    Sand in Spandex Tights

    Jesus Elika,
A thong?! It's freezing cold out!!
    Put some more clothes on.

    "Oh dagger of mine,
grant me the strength and speed to
    change the sands of time"

    Prince stuck in a pit
    Can't wall-climb with broken leg
    Left dagger at home

    Quick Question for everyone:

Is "Persia", or "Persian" for that matter, 2 syllables or 3?

      It's 2 syllables.

So "Per-shuh" as opposed to "Per-Shee-Uh"

          Something like that.

      exibit a -->

See how it is listed as per-sia and the phonetic spelling is two syllables.

    Prince he rips his clothes,
His whole shirt he will remove,
    Farrah drools a bit.

    The dagger is thrust
    Ubisoft releases sands;
    No more emo prince
