An iPhone Is So Easy, A One-Year Child Can Unlock It

This is my son, Micro-Bash. He is one and a few months old. And he can unlock an iPhone.

For the past couple of days whenever he finds Mrs. Bashcraft's iPhone, he switches it on and slides the slider, unlocking the phone. Nobody told him how to do this, he just knows. Kinda like how he knows to lock the front door and where we hide the cookies.

Perhaps, your kid can do this as well! Maybe your cat can! Who knows. You do, that's who.

Granted, he does not know what to do with the phone once he unlocks it. Cut him some slack, he's a little kid!

Simply one button interfaces mean that tech users are, for better or worse, getting younger and younger. Can't go much younger than one year old.

The next generation will become more at ease with technology. Thats a given.

my 1 year old daughter turns off my xbox all the time - think she tryin to tell me something

My two year old can do similar. He quickly worked out how to unlock it, but then after some trial and error knows how to start and play Angry Birds and (somewhat awesomely) calls me at work.
There's something to be said for solid basics.

Kids are smarter than we give them credit.

Having said that, the IPhone interface is very idiot proof. A single button down the bottom and a bright white slider.

    BTW cute kid.
