Come Get Your Final Starcraft II System Specs

Starcraft II is less than two weeks away, but many of you are still sweating on the game's final, official system requirements (for both PC and Mac) to see if you can play it or not. Well, here they are.

Things don't look too steep from where I'm standing. My PC sits around the "recommended specs" level of things and during the beta it ran like wildfire & gravy, so those sitting on or around the minimum specs, don't worry, you should still be playing a good-looking game.

The game will be out on July 27, but if you feel like torturing yourself, you can download it now and save yourself a delay on the night.

Minimum System Requirements*:

PC: Windows XP/Windows Vista/Windows 7 (Latest Service Packs) with DirectX 9.0c

    cant wait only 12 days

Why would you list what you have? I suppose you're one of those people who call your PC a "rig" too? *shudder*

        What's with the post-bashing?
Some people are genuinely interested in other peoples computer specs, and some people just like to share.
If you don't like it, don't post about it. Simple as that.

        rig, rig Rig RIG RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

My Gtx 260 and Q6600 will eat this mofo :D

Oh i forgot to mention my 6 Tb's HDD 6 gig ram 24" dual screens Thermaltake armour case will also help :P

        RIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!11!!!!

RIG!!! My GTX295 and Core i7 920 will eat this mofo.
Oh and I forgot my 12GB DDR3 1600mhz with a 25.6" LCD at 1920x1200 with my Logitech G35 headset, Logitech G9x mouse and the good old Logitech G15 keyboard. All on Windows 7 x64 Ultimate in a Antec 1200 gaming cause. Meh its over a year and a half old, will get replaced next year.

Yeah im going to say if you are going into a post about PC specs needed for a game, there is like a 1000% chance someone will post theirs. just putting it out there and all.

Says the jealous butthurt consolefag who's mummy wont buy him a decent PC Gaming RIG.

        Core 2 Quad Q6600
        4GB RAM
        nVidia GTX 275
        Dual monitors (26" and 24")

Bet you think you're pretty cool cause you go on 4chan, huh?

Well as i thought, my laptop is in convulsive tears at the mere mention of those reqs

Laptops generally aren't the greatest for gaming. My laptop, however, is a beast. It clears the recommended specs by a respectable amount :P
Then there's the even beastier home PC.

I love being the family tech expert. 'Yes, Dad, we do need a 1Gb graphics card...'

Yeh unfortunately mine is 3 years old and i can't afford a new one, plus on top of that we simply don't have the space for a desktop PC in our one bedroom unit :(

Thankfully the laptop i bought was one of the best in it's days so it still holds up fairly well with a lot of newish games.

oh well - one day i'll make a PC gaming comeback lol

WHAT!?!? there is ALWAYS room for a desktop PC! build it into the walls if you have to!

Um no LyndonL arnt i allowed to be excited whats with jerk offs forum nazis on comment pages today

...I can run this on my MBP? Sweet.

I should have so got the limited edition of this game, then sell it on Ebay in like 5 years XD

Lol I thought about that! My Fiance and I have a copy each of the limited edition on pre-order! I might not open mine, but I'll never sell it!!

Love those recommended specs - I'm only running an 8800GT and I've had no issues at 1920x1200 with everything set to high. Though I am running a 6600 quad core OC'ed to 3 GHz which I'm sure is helping just a bit.

The big up side is anyone with a PC younger than 3 years should be able to play this with no issues.

got a 6600 quad best ive had so far

Yay, I am sitting on the minimum system requirements apart from the needing Windows or MacOS part.

I'm fairly certain there was never a 512mb 8800GTX variant... GTS sure.

    @ The Cracks
thank you some people are cruel

Take pride in your rig spec pimping. There are few of us enthusiasts left.

I post this from my loungeroom HTPC consisting of a q6600 with 4gb of ram and an 8800GT built out of my spare parts pile.

I have no idea how my m11x compares with those specs. U7300 at 1.73GHz, 8GB RAM, GeForce GT335M (472MB).

And the DVD drive spec! Can I install it over a network, bc the laptop doesn't have an optical drive. Not that it should need one, since the game requires online activation anyway.

    Will it work?
