The Force Unleashed II's Top Man Just Left The Building

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed executive producer Haden Blackman was at Comic-Con last weekend to show off the sequel to that game. Today, the 13-year LucasArts vet resigned, three months before The Force Unleashed II is due to ship.

IGN received a statement from Blackman, who confirmed his exit from LucasArts by saying that "now is the best time for me to move on and explore new creative challenges and I look forward to the next phase of my career."

Blackman has served as a writer of numerous Star Wars games, books and comic books and currently shares writing duties on Batwoman for DC Comics.

LucasArts saw a group of high profile executive departures earlier this year, when president Darrell Rodriguez and other members of his team abruptly resigned.

According to a statement from LucasArts, Blackman's departure will not affect Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II's October 26 ship date.

Actually, I was thinking the other night about how good a Dark Forces One remake would be on XBox.
