The Nintendo Download: Fishing, Felinez, Furry Legends

Turn your Wii into a virtual aquarium, free Furland from the sinister Lord Squarie, and trap a helpless kitten inside your DSi, all in this week's installment of The Nintendo Download.

The classic games of the Wii Virtual Console are absent once again this week, but there are plenty of original titles to keep you occupied in the meantime. Titles like AquaSpace, Nintendo's virtual WiiWare aquarium, chock full of fishy information. You can even send your Mii into the tank to explore, adding an element of interactivity to what otherwise would simply be a glorified fake fish tank.

If fish aren't your idea of a good pet, then Ubisoft's bite-sized Petz Kittens for DSiWare might be up your alley. Feed and nurture adorable baby kittens, or pretend you've captured on inside your magical box, poking it mercilessly with your stylus should it get out of line.

There's even more fur flying in Furry Legends from Gamelion. It's a 3D platformer filled with physics-based puzzles. The player must save furballs from doom at the hands of a horribly unfurry villain, Lord Squarie. The description calls it "the furriest game of the century!" I don't think they mean it that way.

It's not a bad line-up this week, really. There's HoopWorld for sports fans, a Scrabble tool-kit, and even Crazy Sudoku, which is just like regular Sudoku, only...well, it's just like regular Sudoku.
