The first batch of "Madden Moments Live" - replayable situations from the previous week's real NFL games - went up to EA Sports' servers today, and, yep, one of them is Detroit at Chicago, ended by a dubious officiating decision.
To recap: "Madden Moments Live" is the new downloadable content series being delivered by Madden NFL 11. Each week will roll between three and four scenarios. They technically are not "free", but you also don't have to pay for them; they're "bought" with Madden Coins, the currency acquired by playing multiplayer games. Coins are also sold for Microsoft Points or real cash through the Madden Store.
Here are the four scenarios, each costing 2000 Coins.
Vikings vs. Saints: Kickoff 2010: Minnesota lost this one, 14-9. You'll take over the Vikings in the fourth quarter and lead them to victory. Bonus points for doing it with Visanthe Shiancoe.
Lions vs. Bears: Football Move: Take over the Lions, minus injured Matt Stafford, and drive them to victory in the fourth quarter of a game they lost 19-14. Bonus for completing the process with Calvin Johnson, whose apparent touchdown catch was nullified by a rather parsed reading of the rulebook.
Packers vs. Eagles: Throwback: Take the Eagles, with backup quarterback Michael Vick under centre, at the beginning of the fourth quarter and lead them to an upset win over Green Bay which they lost in real life 27-20. Bonus points for a strong rushing and passing performance from Vick.
Cardinals vs. Rams: Sam the Man: Take the Rams, with rookie quarterback Sam Bradford, and remake his two-interception fourth quarter performance in a 17-13 defeat into a debut victory. Bonus points for good passing stats for Bradford.
You may get all four for 5000 coins; 60,000 coins subscribes you to the entire season for free.
