PC Misses Out On BioShock 2 Downloadable Content

The Protector Trials and Minerva's Den, two downloadable content packs for BioShock 2 on the Xbox 360 and PS3, are still not available for PC owners of the game. And now, they never will be.

2K PR representative Elizabeth Tobey has taken to the game's forums to break the bad news, issuing a statement that reads "We will... not be offering Protector Trials and Minerva's Den on the PC in the future – and I want to say that I'm sorry for the disappointment this will cause to PC players out there."

Don't apologise to us, Elizabeth. Apologise to BioShock 2 on PC. It's the one feeling like chopped liver!

    Oooof.

This will hurt their future releases on PC.

this is displeasing to me...... honestly i don't see why they'd do this, it's not like it's hard to port stuff over to pc..

There was a Bioshock 2? First I heard.

Great, I'll keep this in mind with the new bioshock title being produced.

Probably would have cared more if these DLC's were any good...

And nothing of value was lost.

What a load of tosh. 2K should just come clean and say "the console manufacturers demanded we give them a reason to exist" - I mean seriously, there really is no substitute for a mouse and keyboard in this genre.

But why? No money to be made? The proportion of people who bought BC2 is less than the ones who might buy a DLC = not worth the conversion effort?

Yeah sounds to me like they dont think they will sell, or they already havent sold so there is no point. Also, if possible, Arash can you not turn this into yet another PC versus Consoles squabble? People like different things, I enjoy having a controller and realistic feeling triggers that vibrate when I get a kill, you probably prefer being able to aim .3 of a second faster than I can. They are both valid life choices.

I think it all comes down to money at the end of the day, obviously they signed a contract that obliged them to bring DLC out on the console/s, but when it came to PC, the money just wasn't there. It has nothing to do with PC Verse Console at all. It's fustrating that the PC got the arse end, but it shouldn't stop people from buying from 2K

yes it should. i bought BS2 on PC, but bugger me, i'll be thinking twice before buying 2K again. Good DLC extends the experience of a good game, so it is pretty damn annoying that PCers are being shafted this way.
