The Week That Was

Foxtel making its long awaited arrival on the 360, amidst issues with prices, internet caps, and the absense of Aussie specific sports, was probably the biggest Australian specific story last week.

We covered the initial pricing here, but managed to get more info during a conversation with Product Manager Andrew Jenkins, which you can read here. Apparently out internet plans are flexible enough to negate the need for any ISP partnership.

The other big story was focused on Rock Band 3, and the problem of instrument pricing. We learned that PS3 owners are going to have to wait at least three weeks for the new instruments.

Kirby’s Epic Yarn won’t make it our shores this year, despite being released in the US this month, we went hands-on with a very impressive build of Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, interviewed PSP specialists Ready at Dawn, had a quick chat with Ed Orman from 2K Marin about his awesome job, and rounded off the week with a debate of video game narrative in ‘Objection!’
