While You Were Sleeping

While You Were Sleeping was a well-received romantic comedy starring the luminous Sandra Bullock and the irrepressible Bill Pullman.

It’s also the name of a new section here at Kotaku, where we round up all the best news coming in overnight, to save you trawling down the page for an excuse to not start work. Don’t say we’re not good to you!

So Fallout: New Vegas is getting some DLC? Well, the ungodly powers of Nostradamus were hardly required to predict that one, but the surprising side of this story is that said DLC will actually by exclusive to the Xbox 360.

Ye Olde Nintendo Entertainment System did a decent job over here, but it was hardly the phenomenon it was over in the US. That being said, we still found reason to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the NES here. If you have one gathering a ponderous amount of dust in the attic, feel free to climb up there, blow in all your cartridges, and then give the console a prolonged, slightly awkward hug.

In other news we report some impressive Steam statistics, have a quick swatch at the Kinect launch line-up, and find an amazing new use for our PlayStation 3. It only does everything!

Hey Mark, you're doing a bang up job.

Still not convinced by Fallout: New Vegas (it is Obsidian), the Kinect launch line-up is terrifying and Steam is awesome.

But onto more important things: Bill Pullman. What the hell happened to him? The dude was in Spaceballs. And he was alright in that crappy alien invasion movie. But then bang, he vanishes. He was pretty good.

Here's something to do if you've got the time. Imagine if Bill Pullman did all of Bill Paxton's roles and Bill Paxton did all of Bill Pullman's roles. Aliens would be weird and Lost Highway would be even weirder.

    Thank you for your time.

Bill Pullmans Internet Movie Data Base profile:

His next big thing is titled 'Kerosene Coyboys' directed by Mario Van Peebles (Think bgrade Top Gun): An elite squadron... a top secret mission... an international crisis at 40,000 feet... failure is not an option... Courage, love, friendship and betray at a speed of 1000 km. per hour.

I liked Bill in 'The Lost High Way'.

Why is failure never an option in action movies? I WANT AN OPTION TO FAIL DAMMIT.
