Hey guys, we’re about to kick off our Kotaku Game of the Year awards, and this year we want your vote! This week we’re going to be asking you guys for nominations for each award, before putting it to a vote next week.
Next up is the big one – console games.
This year was huge for games in general. We had one of the best starts to the year in recent memory, with Mass Effect 2, God of War 3, and Heavy Rain, and the mid-year didn’t disappoint either with Red Dead Redemption and Super Mario Galaxy 2. We’ve even had some surprisingly awesome games towards the end of the year with Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood. Gran Turismo 5 comes out this week, and Need for Speed Hot Pursuit is another barnstormer. Then there are your givens; like Halo Reach, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Fallout: New Vegas.
Wow. Looking back it’s been quite the year.
