Major League Gaming’s Grand Finale

For fans of console pro gaming, the MLG National Championships is the culmination of a season full of events, and the chance for the best pro players to compete against one another for enormous cash prizes, not to mention the bragging rights of being the best in the world.

Personally I’ve been a big fan of Major League Gaming for a long time, and can’t wait to see who will come out on top during what will be the last large-scale Halo 3 professional event before MLG move over to Halo: Reach next season. The winning team will take home $100,000 and the right to call themselves the best Halo 3 team on the planet.

Halo 3 is the main event at the MLG National Championships, but in addition MLG will also be running tournaments for Modern Warfare 2, Starcraft 2, Tekken, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl (check here to read up on the controversial happenings during the last Smash tournament).

There will be a live stream going on the whole weekend on MLG’s homepage, which we throroughly recommend watching – especially for fans of Halo. The level of skill and teamwork on display is next level. This is the biggest weekend of the year for the top pros, and all the best teams are sure to be on top form.
