Nicalis' adorable retro adventure Cave Story returns to the Nintendo Download in two new flavours: A double-screened DSiWare version and a free WiiWare demo. Only a raccoon playing disc golf could make this week any better.
If you own an internet connected Wii console and haven't downloaded Cave Story yet, you should probably get right on that. It's an amazing little game, and one that shouldn't need to be the target of Nintendo's half-baked demo program. Still, it's there in demo form just in case you refuse to take my word for it, along with a new version downloadable to your DSi.
The rest of this week's Nintendo Download consists of Magical Drop II, a puzzle game originally released on the NEOGEO, along with the normal assortment of puzzle, hidden-object, and strange little airport sims.
There's even a game called HB Arcade Disc Golf that has players *gasp* playing disc golf as a raccoon! Best week ever!

Special balloons, which come in all four colours, pop every balloon of the same colour. Arrow balloons burst everything in the direction the arrow is facing. Rainbow balloons have the same effect as special balloons, but can be thrown against a balloon of any colour. And then there are bubble balloons, which simply get in your way. Together, these provide you with great chains and combos that make a puzzle game so much fun. Choose between VS CPU Mode, full of battles with a host of comical characters, and Puzzle Mode, where you'll enjoy a one-player challenge. Both modes support player-versus-player action, meaning you can have a great time together with friends.
