While You Were Sleeping

While You Were Sleeping was a well-received romantic comedy starring the luminous Sandra Bullock and the irrepressible Bill Pullman.

It’s also the name of a regular section here at Kotaku, where we round up all the best news coming in overnight, to save you trawling down the page for an excuse to not start work. Don’t say we’re not good to you!

I jumped onto the train this morning, hopped onto twitter (@Serrels if you're interested) and heard some idiot say that 'nothing was happening on the internet today'. I beg to differ.

We've got some info on Elder Scrolls 5. Yes, that's right. Elder Scrolls 5. Contain yourself people! Apparently it's a direct sequel to Oblivion.

The Black Ops vs Halo: Reach debate is sure to rage into the next year (personally I prefer Reach: community playdate anyone?) but this rap battle on the conflict may cringe enough people into calling a truce!

Oh, and Kinect can track boobs now. Man boobs. If you pirate this game you'll get fined, and begun the Forza/Gran Turismo troll wars have...

In Short Call of Duty: Black Ops vs Halo: Reach: The Rap Battle Kinect Hacked To Track Breast Or At Least Man Boobs Reports: Elder Scrolls V Is A Direct Sequel To Oblivion Pirate This Game You'll Get Fined GT5 And Forza 3 Race For The Checkered Flag

Don't worry guys. I'm in direct consultation with a friend to let me borrow his PS3 while he's overseas so that I can play GT5.

    :D :D :D :D :D

Also At TES5... wtf. Seriously? A sequel to Oblivion? I don't know anyone who said they liked Oblivion more than Morrowind or Daggerfall...

Why would they let me down like this...?

I didn't mind oblivion. In terms of character development it was pretty good anyway. My only hope is that they don't make this sequel anywhere near as repetitive. By the time I got to the 4th portal in Oblivion, I was hella bored.

I didn't mind it. It's a solid game. But it wasn't TES for me...

It was dungeons and dragons. It was so typically a "normal" kings-and-castles RPG that I felt they lost their touch.

Morrowind was geniuniely unique! It was mushroom trees and Dagoth Ur, it was shanty towns and Vivec city, it was Netches and (as much as people complain) cliff-racers!

        Oblivion killed it for me...

Really, TadMod? Everyone I knew preferred Oblivion over Morrowind. It was places like Cloud Ruler Temple, and Bruma, and dungeons like the (DLC exclusive) Mehrunes Razor. I suppose it being DLC exlusive sort of kills it's worth, but that was some of the most fun I've ever had. Whatever, it's been 4 years since Oblivion, and it'll have been at least 5 by the time TES 5 comes out, hopefully the creative juices will really have been flowing.
