Will Gran Turismo 6 Be On The PS3 Or PS4?

While gamers across the world are finally getting their hands on the oft-delayed Gran Turismo 5, series creator Kazunori Yamauchi and his team are working on the inevitable follow-up.

Website Eurogamer asked Yamauchi if Gran Turismo 6 will appear on the PlayStation 3 or Sony's next console. The game designer stated that he "doesn't know".

"Ten years ago it was easier to predict what would happen three years in the future," he added. "Nowadays no-one knows what happens in the future. In three years, we don't know what will happen."

When Eurogamer pressed on whether GT6 would miss this generation, Yamauchi "laughed and shrugged".

Previously, Yamauchi stated that Gran Turismo 5 might have "too much detail" that could be better suited for the next PlayStation.

The 5 years (give or take) in-development Gran Turismo 5 was finally released this week.

b4d opens his portal into the future, looks 3 years ahead and.......sees no sign of GT6 (shows no surprise).
Yamauchi knows there will be no GT6 in 3 years, but we all know that whenever it doe come out it will be pretty awesome

PS4 for sure, the lifecycle of each playstation has been 6-7years. PS4 should be in production in 2012. And we all know that GTs have taken a fair amount of time to produce.

Imagine how long Yamauchi and gamers would be waiting if he wanted such detail in a Nintendo console!

Obviously, the answer is the PS5.

Make it for PC than you might have a decent looking game.

Go and live under a bridge, then you might be a troll worthy of the name.

    That was pretty good, admittingly.

    hehe, 3 years, funny guy

Considering the legendary procrastination of Polophony.... PS6. At least. But they'll have to shoehorn in a few PSP3 titles too.

with the amount of content on it, would 3 years pay off all the work put into it?
