I managed to snag myself a copy of The Guinness Book of Records: Gaming Edition last year - and while I would hardly recommend buying the new edition every year, I really enjoyed flicking through. It's more than a simple list of broken records, it's a celebration of gaming as a whole. Well worth a gander.
In a sense it's strange that such a thing exists, but we're glad it does. It's well written, packed with interesting, off kilter feature pieces, alongside all the insane video game factoids you'd expect from such a package.
You can take a sneak peak of what to expect here.
