PlayStation Network – Access Online Entertainment for PS3

If you use your PlayStation 3 for just games, then you’re really missing out. There’s a heap of movies to download on-demand and catch-up TV shows available for streaming, straight to your PS3. All you need is a broadband internet connection.

There are hundreds of HD and SD movies available on demand from the PlayStation Video Store; including popular titles and new release blockbusters that you can either rent or buy – it’s up to you.

There’s also the recently released MUBI app, which lets you stream a great range of independent, classic and foreign films. You can rent individual feature films (over a seven-day period) for $6.25, short films for just $1.75, or get a 30-day unlimited pass for $19.95 and watch as many as you want. The MUBI app also lets you share your favourite flicks with your mates via Facebook. Perfect for film buffs!

You can also catch-up on your favourite TV programs with ABC iView, which we totally dig here at Gizmodo, and the Yahoo!7 PLUS7 streaming TV service. Check it out under the TV icon.

So sign up today for PlayStation Network (which is free!) and start getting more out of your PS3.
