Doesn't beta usually come BEFORE release...

They kinda missed the boat by 3 years... XD

"Players will be able to actively participate in shaping the future of Team Fortress 2, testing new weapons, class changes, new maps, and large-scale game variations in a safe and friendly environment."

The beta is to play-test future patches.
Not a pre-gold-release, which you are mistaken about.

Oh please god let Natasha be completely retooled, if not it needs to be outright removed,

How dare you speak of Natascha that way :O
I ask you this, What is a heavy without his Natascha? o.O A sad and lonely man. :(

Learn to dodge or teamwork? Its really easy to kill them with 2 guys, but being alone you'd best have a Dead Ringer (Spy) or just huntsman it (Sniper)

A scout with a Sandman works wonders against heavies 1v1 as well!

Now I can get the achievements all over again! "GOOD TIMES!"

(yes yes I know. I'm sad.)

Honestly at what point did Team Fortress 2 become an MMO?!?!? I played the game at launch, it was a fun team based objective shooter. I stopped playing (probably because the first Uncharted came out) and I bought it again and it was a completely different game.

Perhaps they will finally make it as good as the original, I rushed out and bought it to discover it didn't have class specific grenades (like team fortress classic)So what you make a new game and have less options to take down the enemy than the original?? forget it. i played it once or twice and was bored with it, it was really a deal breaker for me. No variety of grenades, forget it, I'll only ever give it another go if they add in the sorely missing grenades. nothing was quite as fun as running into a room to discover a spy had set off their grenade and you were tripping like it was the 60's again, and then trying to take him down like your an angry drunk unable to focus but might get a lucky hit in. This is why I and many others I know boycott this game, its a pale shadow of the original Quake mod.
