What Are You Playing This Weekend

Well chaps/chapettes, it’s that time of the week again. And I have to say I’m looking forward to it. I’ve got another wedding this weekend, so play time will be limited, but I’m definitely going to bash out some Halo: Reach – I’ll be on from about 9pm if you folks are interested?

Yep, I feel pretty bad for piking on last week’s community playdate, but I’m super keen to get into some games tonight if you guys/gals are up for it.

Quick reminder – my gamertag is DriestBobcat. I think I’ve still got some space on there, but if not just let me know in the comments below and I’ll free up some space.

But aside from Halo: Reach – what will you guys be getting up to this weekend? I’ve finished Donkey Kong Country Returns, which I loved so I’m struggling to think what I’ll play to be honest. Any recommendations?

Work xmas party tonight so i will be playing something simple and quiet tomorrow.

I am looking forward to it. My boss asked me to bring in some drinks for our team meeting that starts at 3pm (party is not til 6.30pm).

I have on my desk (picture corporate office environment) a bottle of 42 below, Grey Goose, Grey Goose le’orange and a bottle of Grenadine. Going to make Vodka Sunrises later!

As for the rest of the weekend, still enjoying chipping away at GT5 i think.

Large backlog atm – I still need to finish AC:B, I’ve only played half an hour of Fallout: New Vegas, only an hour of NFS: Hot Pursuit, and I’m only on the third world in DKCR… Then there’s Super Meat Boy, the Metroid Prime Trilogy, Braid, etc…

Maybe some Reach tonight if I’m on and you lot are available.

Work Christmas Party tonight, cutting up and constructing wedding invitations tomorrow. Christmas shopping Sunday.

If I get any time at all, I might try and finish 6-5 “Omega” on Super Meat Boy. I’ve spent about 2 hours on that level alone so far.

I’ll be on for Halo again tonight, should be fun.

I have some project work that I’m determined to spend all Sunday finishing off, but I’m equally determined to find the time to finish Fable III on Saturday.

FF3DS…Just doing my first replay cos I only played through once back when it came out.

  This sounds really slack, but I was loving FF3DS until I came out the other end of a cave and got slaughtered. Wasn’t sure if I went the wrong way or what, but was too lazy to go back through the cave. That was the last time I played it. I sound like a broken record asking for recommendations these days, but worth another shot you think?

Reach tonight, then I’m probably gonna play with my new camera all weekend.

Do you know if the wedding needs another photographer by any chance? They’ll probably ask why there are no photos of the bride or groom, just Mark playing Game Dev Story…

I’d love to say I was having a christmas marty for work, but that’s not gonna happen. Given my current financial situation, I’ll probably doign mail-box drops trying to drum up some work for myself. And providing the storms don’t blow up everything in my house, I might get in a little playtime with Tatsunoko vs Capcom. I have a ton of other shit to play too, but that one’s been burning a hole for a while.

With recent news of a new elder scrolls game, I decided to give Oblivion another crack. I’ve FINALLY gotten into it, so I’m guessing I’ll spend the bulk of my weekend playing that.

Woah mama I’ve got a busy weekend. Tron, IMAX, 11:30pm tonight. So I may try and get a game or two on with you guys before I go.

Saturday. Christmas shopping. Then the wife’s work Christmas dinner where we’re expecting to get quite drunk.

Sunday. Hangover. Beach barbeque. Dinner on my parents at Hellenic Republic in celebration of me graduating.

With only a lower end laptop and a copy of SC2 as I try to enjoy my humid holiday overseas, I’ll be spending what I have of my weekend that is free to playing SC2 and aiming to be able to return to Aus and be able to beat at least one of my friends.

But I can only hope.

That said, I’m hoping that when I buy New Vegas (eventually) it’ll be less buggy. Hopefully the patches will repair a fair amount that is wrong in the game.

Metro 2033 – Just DL’ed off Steam for $8 or so. Played heaps yesterday, it’s pretty ace.

CoD:BO – Just finished my 1st prestige, going in for Prestige 2. Never done it before on a CoD game, but felt it gives me more reason to play. I find the game infuriates me too much if I try and get good at it 😛

Fable 2 & 3 – Finishing off Fable 2. Starting a new char on Fable 3. My first playthrough of Fable 3 was disappointing, I hope that by not rushing it this second time round it’ll be better.

I bought MAss Effect one and two earlier this year but never got around to playing them.

Anyway all this hype around Mass Effect 3 and seeing Mass Effect 2 in all the game of the year charts spurred me on to finally play it.

I’m about 15hrs into the first one and think it is the best game I’ve played since KOTOR so I will be delving deep this weekend.

Damn you Mr Serrels for introducing me to Game Dev Story.
I played it all night, did not wake up in time for work and was half an hour late and now I am playing it at work while the boss is giving me one of those “This guy needs to be given me more work” looks.
But I’ll be up for halo as well.

I’m really getting into the multiplayer in Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, but it’s tough to convince people to join in.

I managed to get 2 friends to play, but even though they seemed to really enjoy it, they always seem to be busy with other things *cough*cataclysm*cough*.

If I get bored of stabbing people, I might play some Pinball FX 2.

I will be playing all the games i have bought for family and friends. If i can finish them and get them re-shrinkwrapped ( I wonder if JB’s do this…? ) by Friday all shall be well. I will be trying to knock over :

Working all weekend, but when I’m not at work I’ll be on Steam. Built a new PC a couple weeks back and have been adding tonnes of games to my Steam library thanks to the Treasure Hunt sales. I’ll be playing L4D2, Black Ops, Shatter, Beat Hazard, TF2 and a bit of Torchlight for good luck.

Red Dead! I’m only a short way through but I’ve been sidetracked by the thrill of skinning animals. I was in a small gun-fight and a horse got clipped, so I skinned it. I then whistled for my horse, who didn’t gallop up to me like the crazy faithful steed I’d learned to love. I think I just skinned it. I stopped jumping up and down on the horse-corpse and actually felt a bit of remorse. I started to make the lonely trek into town and then my horse ran up to me! So yeah, Red Dead this weekend!

Final Fantasy XIII on the PS3, hoping it gets just a LITTLE better, and on the PC, Black Ops and Starcraft 2 Star Battles. Blowing enemy ships up has never been so satisfying.
