Xbox 360's Borderlands GOTY Edition Won't Cross The Border

The PS3 version of Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition will be released in Japan. According to one report, the Xbox 360 version will not.

The Xbox 360 version was originally intended to hit retail alongside the PS3 edition later this month, but according to an online report and retailers like HMV, the title is being pulled due to "unavoidable issues with production".

The regular edition of the game hit Japanese shops, but looks like the Game of the Year Edition, which features the game's downloadable content on a disc, won't. Japanese players can, of course, still download that extra content.

For anyone who has yet to pick up the GOTY edition you should note that the package, regardless of platform, is the original vanilla disc with vouchers for the four pieces of DLC so you will have a couple GB to download after picking it up.

In comparison, I thought what Bioware did with Dragon Age Origins 'Ultimate Edition' was great. Providing all of DLC on a single disc with the original copy.

I bought it when it first came out and traded it before the dlc came around.
It's just... it's just not fun unless you're playing co-op.
