I never thought I’d see the day when the worlds of the Mushroom Kingdom and a Tool video intersected, but it appears 2011 is going to be full of surprises.

This isn’t for the impatient, or the faint of heart, but there’s an eerie vision of the future to be found by sticking around to the end. Past the “Money for Nothing” Mario and the frankly unsettling Miyamoto. It’s tough to imagine now, but just as silent movies and the fireside chats by the wireless sound faintly ridiculous to us today, so too will the games of today be a relic to the gamers of tomorrow.

Even if the gamers of tomorrow probably won’t look so damn horrific.
