Metroid’s Heroine Won’t Fight In The New Dead Or Alive

Dead or Alive: Dimensions for the Nintendo 3DS will feature a cameo from Metroid hunter Samus Aran, but she won’t be jiggling alongside the rest of the DOA cast. Samus, sadly, won’t be playable in the game.

So says Team Ninja leader Yosuke Hayashi of the developer’s latest beat ’em up. While the latest Dead or Alive: Dimensions trailer teased the inclusion of Samus, if only in morph ball form, Hayashi tells Eurogamer “This time she’s not playable. But Samus Aran will be shown in the game. She comes to help the player.”

Presumably only in the Metroid: Other M-themed stage featuring Samus nemesis Ridley.

Metroid fans will have to settle for the fighting styles of Samus in Super Smash Bros. Brawl or whatever bounce Samus will get from laying a Power Bomb, it seems.
