The History Of 2010’s Games

Boy, video games sure covered a lot of historical ground in 2010, with titles set everywhere from “a long time ago” to the dark, distant future of 2552.

Below you’ll find a timeline of some of last year’s biggest games, showing where in humanity’s grand story they fit in. We’re assuming they left Civilization V off the list because they couldn’t be bothered filling in thousands of years individually.

Both Halo: Reach and Starcraft II being set in the 26th century has always seemed a little off to me. In 500 year’s time, wouldn’t we have found a replacement for bullets? They’re such a pain in the arse, all that reloading and reloading and making sure there’s something left to reload with.
