This Isn’t Really StarCraft (But We Like It!)


Earlier this week, StarCraft II developers Blizzard released three new custom maps for the game. Two of the three maps don’t play much like StarCraft at all, so we figured we’d show you what they do play like.

The three maps – Auir Chef, Left 2 Die and Star Jeweled – are attempts by Blizzard to showcase just how flexible StarCraft II’s user creation tools can be. While Left 2 Die is just a singleplayer mission with co-op now enabled, the other two make fundamental changes to the way StarCraft is played, one becoming a puzzle game and the other a….cooking game. Sort of.
