A Man In A Dress Fights A Woman In A Dress

When Yuichiro “Jienotsu” Nagashima isn’t dressing up as girls from bullet hell shooters, he’s kicking people’s arses. He’s a professional K-1 kick boxer. But is he any good at fighting games?

To find out, he’s playing female idol Rose Gardenfairy. Something tells me that that isn’t her real name. As they fire up “Phantom Breaker” on the Xbox 360, she tells Nagashima that she loves video games, but isn’t very good at fighting games.

Competing since 2007, the 20-something year-old fighter recently won the K-1 World Max 2010 Under 70kg Japan Tournament, taking the ¥5,000,000 ($54,000) fight purse. His entourage is made up of young, cosplaying girls.

Nagashima has been involved with game promotions in the past, such as for EA’s FIFA. Those were more exciting – that is, unless you find staring at the back of a dude’s wigged head while he wears a dress to be utterly fascinating.
