Crashing The Silent Protagonist Party

When a party’s guest list includes Gordon Freeman, The Legend of Zelda’s Link, and Crono from Chrono Trigger, the chances of striking up a good conversation are pretty slim, even for gaming’s most appropriate party crasher.

I prefer the premise to the punch line in the latest video from the folks from Dorkly. There have been countless silent video game heroes over the years, quietly going about the business of saving the world, never asking anything in return. I’d imagine a normal party would be an exercise in frustration for these characters, with all the speaking roles attempting small talk, only to be met with blank stares.

All they want is a pleasant place to hang out and someone to not talk to.
