Crysis 2 Starts Spreading The Minimum Spec News

There is no room for the weak in this battle for New York City, according to the latest Crysis 2 trailer. Apparently, there's also no room for weak computers either.

Along with this new trailer comes the official minimum specs for playing the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 game on your computer:

* Internet connection required for activation * OS: XP/Vista/Windows 7 * CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2Ghz, AMD Athlon 64 x2 2Ghz or better * 2 GB RAM * HDD: 9 GB * DVD ROM: 8x * GPU: NVIDIA 8800 GT 512MB RAM, ATI 3850HD 512Mb RAM or better * Keyboard, mouse, or Microsoft Xbox 360 controller for Windows

Keep in mind, that's the minimum. No word on recommended yet. Fingers crossed.

That doesnt look so bad for minimum specs.

Thee essentially the specs of the xbox 360 funny that

360 specs are actually lower - the only exception being that its processor has three cores and is PowerPC, not the x86 architecture.

You guys have no idea... console specs don't even vaguely relate to recommended/minimum specs of any PC game. You need a hell of a lot more power on a PC to get the same results as you'd see on a console.

yeah theres no direct comparison but tech wise this is the same base stuff that it's based on, would have been surprised if it had required more.

might not run as nice on a PC with an 8800 but thats due to other reasons

I really need to upgrade my gpu

I hope these specs are accurate.

The last time my computer satisfied the minimum specs, the game played like a slide show.

Seriously, I wish I was making this up - the game in question was Oblivion.

Minimum means the game will work, doesn't mean it will work well. I remember Oblivion was a slideshow too.
