Geeks Get Their Own Collectible Trading Cards

Last year, illustrator Len Peralta crafted a set of 52 collectible trading cards based on the geek elite, from music, television, video games and beyond. Now, those “Geek A Week” cards are made real, thanks to ThinkGeek.

Peralta’s cards cover gaming luminaries like Epic Mickey and Deus Ex creator Warren Spector and Atari founder Nolan Bushnell. They also spill to the fringe, including musician Jonathan Coulton of Portal music fame, actress Felicia Day as Chell and Veronica Belmont looking Kratos-esque.

Outside of the video game space, Peralta turned other geeks into collectible trading cards, including Weird Al Yankovic, Guillermo del Toro, Neil Gaiman, Mark Mothersbaugh and Penn & Teller, plus many more into wax pack material.

You can see the full set of Geek A Week cards at Peralta’s Flickr stream or start snatching them up from ThinkGeek, now selling the first set.
