Marvel Vs Capcom 3 Is ‘Cheap’ And ‘Easy’

Justin Wong, you know the guy Daigo beat, is a fantastic Marvel vs Capcom 2 player. He’s probably one of the best in the world. He knows Marvel vs Capcom, so what does he think about the newest entry in the series?

“Mvc3 has to be the easiest and cheapest fighting game that was ever made….,” tweeted Wong. He later clarified, “I like the game alot, i think its fun but it is the cheapest game ever made.”

Seeing as how he plays in tournaments, Wong might be looking at the game from a different prospective than you or I would. Competing at the prestigious Evolution Championship Series, Wong placed first in Marvel vs. Capcom 2 in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2010. The other years he placed second. For him, it’s possible that MvC3 isn’t balanced in the same way that MvC2 is for tournament play, opening up unfair advantages.

Wong did say he enjoyed playing Marvel vs. Capcom 3 because it’s “really fun”, adding that it was “hard to take seriously cause of the shit that happens in the game”. When asked if the title was going to ruin tournament play, Wong replied, “its not bad that its easy to learn, its just TOO EASY i think and consistency is hard to tell sadly….”

Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds is out today. You might like it, or you might like and find it too easy and cheap.
