Millions Of Music Tracks Now Available On North American PlayStation 3

Music Unlimited, Sony's streaming music service, hits North American PlayStation 3 consoles today, giving users 30 days access to millions of musical tracks before subscription fees kick in.

Music Unlimited powered by Qriosity debuted in the UK and Ireland in December, spreading to France, Germany, Italy and Spain last month. Now it's time for North American PlayStation 3 owners to get a taste of the streaming music service, along with our friends in Australia and New Zealand.

Music Unlimited is a streaming music service that can help music lovers discover new tracks by scanning their music collections and keeping track of the songs they listen to via the service, using the data to generate user-specific channels filled with tunes that match users' specific tastes.

All PlayStation 3 owners are eligible for a free 30-day trial of the premium service, after which they'll need to sign up for the $US3.99 monthly basic subscription or the $US9.99 premium subscription, which includes music not available at the basic level.

So who's ready to pay for a little music?

Alternatively you could download it from the web at not hassle

Why can't the PS3 native music browser be this useful. If I want to listen to a song beginning with 'Z', for example, I have to scroll down for 10 minutes.
