Want To Play Killzone 3 Early With The Commando?

The Commando helps people lose weight on The Biggest Loser. I don't really know if he is a real commando. He looks hard, I guess. Today, however, he's being relatively friendly - inviting people to enter a competition for Killzone 3. The Prize? The chance to fly to Sydney and play Killzone 3 in 3D before its release.

The event is for up to 100 people, with 50 plus one passes up for grabs, which is a pretty hefty number - definitely a solid enough amount for you guys to be in with a fighting chance of winning. The event takes place in Sydney, but Sony will fly winners from anywhere in Australia.

Do you think you have what it takes to be labelled the ultimate ISA soldier? Ex Australian Special Forces Soldier, The Commando is leading the recruit and is on the hunt for the most experienced gamers to compete against the best in their field, and take on the evil Helghast army and the world of Helghan in Killzone 3.

The exclusive ISA Recruitment Drive will take place from 19:00 on Tuesday 22 February 2011 at a central Sydney location. The event will feature Killzone 3 themed rooms, complete with stereoscopic 3D gaming setups, ( PS Move Sharp Shooter enabled!), game giveaways, plus a range of activities designed to simulate the ‘true’ Killzone experience. Oh yes, and there will be one Killzone 3 Helghast Edition pack for one lucky winner.

Finally a aussie comp that doesn't require me to live in the eastern states! Thanks for the heads up Mark :)

      Spoke too soon:

54 Winner(s) will be chosen on 17 February 2011 ("Competition Date"). 50 Winners will be chosen from NSW and 4 interstate Winners will be chosen from outside NSW but within Australia. The prize(s) on offer is described below ("Prize(s)"). The Winner(s) will be judged on creativity of response.

      Only 4 interstate winners! dammit

'Commando' Steve was a Sergeant with Australian Special Forces, specifically 4RAR (now 2CDO), which is the Aussie equivalent of the green berets.

More like rangers. US special forces have a different mission.

That "Commando" dude both scares the hell out of me and attracts me at the same time. WTF is wrong with me? :P

      I find him super gross.

    No thanks.

Somewhere within the fine print, it must read: And if the competition winner is deemed to lack personal fitness, "The Commando" will whip his or her ass into shape.

Is there nothing these tools from that dreaded TV show won't flog?

who the f*** would enter this?

Can't I just have a free copy instead of meeting this guy? He scares me...

Commando is my style of workout. I'll take that over petty alliances and diet sabotage and 'temptation'. If they really want to lose weight and change their life, they'd do it the hard way.

If he's promoting it, cool.. if he's a gamer, much respect ;)

    IT'S A TRAP!!!!!!!

hate 25 word or less comps :( i entered but i probably wont win..

Seems like a lot of work. I'll just sit on the couch getting fat watching other people do it... Isn't that the general idea/irony?

No, I don't want to win. I only just this minute finished Killzone 2, and the ending was absolutely the worst game ending since Halo 2.

Seriously, game publishers stop making endings that either

    a) Aren't and ending at all, and the gamer was really, really expecting another level (Halo2)

    b) Make the player feel like all the hours they just put in were a colossal waste of time (Sorry soldier, everything you just went through did no good at all, possibly made it worse, we're not sure, and we don't really care)

Arrrgh! The ending felt like a punishment rather than a reward.

Maybe they call him that because he doesn't wear underpants??

Commando is a noob. Someone (me) needs to take him down.

Mark I won an entry. -Is it true that Sony are willing to fly people from anywhere in Australia?

i won an entry too looking forward to going tomorrow i hope its good. we should all get free copies.
