Sleeping can be fun – necessary even. But what if stuff happens when you’re sleeping – game stuff? What are you supposed to to do then? Thankfully we have a solution – While You Were Sleeping, a quick round up of all the news that happened… while you were sleeping.
Although I’m pretty enamoured with the game so far, I thought the Dead Space 2 – ‘your mom hates Dead Space’ – campaign was out of touch, silly, and just a little bit pointless. Now it looks like a number of advocacy groups are looking into the campaign, with Common Sense Media even going as far to claim that it “violates the ESRB’s Principles and Guidelines for Responsible Advertising Practices”. As much as I thought the campaign was a bit stupid, this seems to be taking things a little too far.
We wondered why two of our favourite games of 2010 – Red Dead Redemption and Mass Effect 2 – hadn’t been nominated for the Writers Guild’s Video Game Writing Award, when a number of lesser games had been. Looks like we may have our answer…
