Check Out Hans Zimmer's Crysis 2 Soundtrack

It's hardly Hans Zimmer's first time around the video game block, he contributed to both Modern Warfare 2 and Kingdom Hearts II's soundtracks, but as we say around the office - the more Hans Zimmer the better. So news that the Zimmer-man is contributing to the music in Crysis 2 is good news as far as we're concerned.

Hans Zimmer's music is in high demand, his work in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight and Inception being the most celebrated, so it's great news to have such an esteemed musician composing in the video game space.

“I was drawn to Crysis 2 because of Crytek’s passion for the project and the world they created,” claimed Hans Zimmer. “And I am very happy with the outcome of our collaboration.”

I think this calls for an Inception 'BWONG'!

You can check out some of his Crysis 2 work here.

That Inception Bwong sound sounds like something ripped from Philip Glass' Kundun soundtrack to tell you the truth... just listen to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIpgSBWRAsE&playnext=1&list=PL04631C4FF7B6B2C5

    >In Shopping mall, passing time in Gloria Jeane's Coffee until movie starts
    >SSpreadsheets blahblah
    >Look up from laptop at the people walking past
    >See this one woman with her back turned to me
    >Time suddently slows to a crawl, and I hear the Inception BRRRR + Matrix Bullet time effect
    >"Oh no."
    >Chorus from "Bette Davis's eyes" plays over in-store sound system
    >Woman turns to the side, in slow motion
    >Topknot ponytail, all scraggly
    >Boob about to blast out of her way too skin tight tube top
    >Notice she's about 14 months pregnant
    >tube top is stretched down halfway across her colossal pregnant belly, with the bottom half completely exposed to the elements
    >Gag a little
    >She's texting on her cheap-assed nokia phone
    >Wonder why she thought she was too good for changing her wardrobe along with her changing figure
    >Realize "Preganancy is a beautiful time" only applies when others aren't confronted with your colossal belly about to swat aside a shopping trolley

Does this serve any purpose to this article? Nope. But this literally just happened to me, and I swear to god I heard that BBBBBRRRRRR sound.

No wonder I felt like I was in Inception when I've been playing the demo! I thought they were just paying homage a little too much...

Err, someone's got it wrong about the soundtracks he did. Hans only did Modern Warfare 2. He was acknowledged in Kingdom Hearts 2 for his music references for POTC but he didn't contribute. That's all done by Yoko Shimomura.
