In Russia, Raving Rabbids Make Your Salads, Not Mischief

Who would want to co-opt Ubisoft’s bothersome mascots, the Raving Rabbids? Russian salad maker Belaya Dacha, apparently, who have swiped the leporine mischief makers – or a very, very close approximation – to shill their pre-packaged salad greens.

A helpful tipster turned us on to Belaya Dacha’s salad spot, which he says was created by the Bazelevs Group, a media company founded by Timur Bekmambetov. He’s the director of Angelina Jolie vehicle Wanted and the Day Watch/Night Watch movies. Belaya Dacha plans to continue making the ads starring these “Заи (bunnies)”.

We contacted Ubisoft to see if they were aware of or approve of the stars of Rayman Raving Rabbids and Raving Rabbids: Travel in Time pimping Russian salad mixes, but they haven’t responded. Perhaps they’re just as stunned as we are that anyone would glom these annoying little creatures.
