Watch Creators Of Doom, Pac-Man, Pitfall! Wax Nostalgic

Not only can you now relive this year’s Game Developers Conference keynote from Nintendo president Satoru Iwata, who spoke about the creation of Kirby and the devaluation of games in “Video Games Turn 25: A Historical Perspective and Vision for the Future”, you can experience the best part of GDC 2011: the classic game post mortems.

GDC has released video presentations and slides from some of this year’s most memorable, most enjoyable talks from the people responsible for some of the best games of all time. That includes free access to post mortems from John Romero (Doom), Jordan Mechner (Prince of Persia), Toru Iwatani (Pac-Man), Eric Chahi (Out Of This World), Peter Molyneux (Populous) and many, many more.

Since that many, many more includes David Crane talking about Pitfall!, Mark Cerny discussing Marble Madness and Will Wright remembering the creation of Raid on Bungling Bay, I’m going to catch up on the talks I missed at GDC 2011.

There are more presentations and slides beyond the keynote and classic game post mortems, so dig around if you were absent from this year’s Game Developers Conference.
