1 Vs. 100 Finds New Life On Facebook

People sometimes forget that 1 vs. 100, the MMO gameshow offered by Xbox Live from 2009 to 2010, is based on an actual gameshow of the same name and format, running in several countries, including the U.S. from 2006 to 2008. Though Microsoft declined to bring it back for a third season, it’ll be resuscitated as a Facebook game, though you won’t be playing it live with 100,000 of your closest friends.

The game is being developed by iWin, under licence from Endemol USA. On Facebook, the Mob-vs.-The One structure of 1 vs. 100 will take the form of individual players inviting Facebook friends to join their Mob to answer questions and either knock off The One or compete against the user. Facebook-specific variant modes also will be offered.

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to make your Avatar do the Saturday Night Fever dance.

The game will release alongside a Facebook version of “Deal or No Deal,” also an Endemol TV production, sometime later this spring.
