Just because there’s an apocalyptic event doesn’t mean the world’s great cities crumble into dust. They just get a few new residents, as demonstrated in Rage’s Dead City gameplay trailer.
Rolling deserts and dust bowls are good enough for smaller games, but id’s Rage is no small game. Sooner or later you’ve got to give up your small town stardom for a shot at life in the big city. Sometimes that results in another death in the big city, sure, but at least you can say you tried. Heck, you can scream it at the top of your lungs as the mutants begin tearing you apart. Oh those mutants.
The new trailer comes with the news that folks that preorder Rage through major retailers will score a free upgrade to the game’s Anarchy Edition, which comes with four exclusive in-game items: Double Barrel Shotgun, Crimson Elite armour, Fists of Rage, and the Rat Rod Buggy.
Rage hits the PC, Mac, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on September 13.
