What Are You Playing This Weekend?

Yep. I guess you could say that I'm one of the 50% who hasn't finished Portal 2, but I plan on rectifying that this weekend. I'm also going to be watching other people playing at the World Cyber Games kick off at Parramatta. But what are you guys up to?

At the moment I'm about halfway through Chapter 6 of Portal. I've loved it so far, but having rattled through the original just before starting the sequel, I feel like there hasn't been the same amount of challenge so far - I've not really been stumped yet. Apparently things are just about to kick off though, so I'm looking forward to that.

If any of you guys are headed to the World Cyber Games event, give me a shout - I might see you there.

Oh, and if the PSN finally gets back online (unlikely at this stage) I'll finally get the chance to play Outland, which I'm super keen about.

What are you guys playing/doing this weekend?

Heading to Canberra, so nothing really...

When we get back on Sunday, I'll probably have a round or two on Tiger 12. If PSN is back up, then I'll be queuing some downloads also.

With PSN offline, I won't be playing Demon's Souls :(

Then again, I did just get a capture card, so there are a handful of games I might play for the sole purpose of recording them.

Possibly the Mirror's Edge DLC, or Trauma Center: Second Opinion.

Hey, I think I might try the Mirror's Edge DLC too! Accept my XBL friend request and we can see who gets the best scores!

I'm also considering picking a game out of my pile of recent acquisitions - de Blob 2, Prince of Persia, or, if I'm man enough, Demon's Souls. Depends on what I feel like at the time.

I'll accept next time I use my Xbox. I haven't turned it on since doing the Mirror's Edge review, everything I've been playing is on PS3 or Steam.

i'm buying portal 2 at lunch and play co op with my sister. She is really smart and has the hand eye co-ordination of a dead cat so it will be a challenge to actually complete the game. nevertheless should be fun oh and finally get back on the minecraft server haven't played in ages.

I've been playing through the co-op with my girlfriend and even though she's seriously not used to using dual analogues to look around (she completed the first one using keyboard and mouse) it's been excellent fun.

They've made an excellent co-op experience and I have no doubt you and your sister will have a blast!

And to answer the question, probably Portal 2 single player and some co-op too. I just got up to using the Portalable surface-making Gel so looking forward to that!

I'll be playing 'What the hell am I going to cook my Mum for her Birthday?' and 'How the hell am I going to stop my house looking like it's been hit by an indoor tornado in time?' with a bit of 'Kinect Adventures' thrown in for good measure and to distract my parents from the fact the house is a mess and I didn't cook any food for them....

The house tidying game would sell a truck load for Kinect.

I'm going to dip into Outland. Really enjoyed the demo so I grabbed it late last night. Also hopefully my lazy mate will finally be ready to do the Portal co-op missions.

LittleBigPlanet PSP, FFVI Advance (I've played the PS1 version before but my god the music is beautiful in this game), Super Mario Galaxy, maybe some offline Demon's Souls (just started).

I'll be finishing off Portal 2 single player. Should be also getting some Assassin's Creed Brotherhood done. Then if time permits, also GOW: Ghost of Sparta.

I'd like to also start Yakuza 4 this weekend, but I think I'll run out of time.

Uncharted 2, and hopefully finish accessing some downloads off PSN when it comes back. I discovered the Wii is on sale at $199, and Donkey Kong Country Returns and New Super Mario Bros are calling....

I haven't played unchated 2, and I was thinking of picking it up to play on my mates PS3.

The only reason though is because I consistantly hear that it's the best looking game on PS3...

As someone who has played it, does it actually look good? I ask because everytime I see the screenshots on the box, it looks about the same as Alpha Protocol.

Alongside God of War 3, it's the best looking game on the PS3, and probably the best balanced title I think I've yet played since Super Mario World on the SNES :)

I might try and play some more of Donkey Kong Country Returns.

Finished Portal 2 just the other night, bloody hilarious, it just keeps getting funnier the closer you get to the end. Hoping to knock off the co-op this weekend.

AND hoping to see my MK on my doorstep when I get home :)

I haven't finished Portal 2 single player yet either.

While no actual puzzle has stumped me yet, I've had a few difficulties in locating the one wall I can stick a portal on in order to proceed. Particularly in big open areas, with little to no indication of where to go.

Between that and Mortal Kombat, I'm set for the weekend.

Those areas were the only really tricky ones in the game. I progressed a couple of times without it ever really clicking in my mind, such that I'm not even sure if I solved them way they were intended to be!

Still need to finish the commentary levels on Portal 2. I'm on Chapter 8 so shouldn't be much longer (spaaaaaaaaace)

Some GTA:IV, co-op Portal 2, Warcraft 3 (again!), some L4D2 and maybe I'll try and find that final 0.14% of Just Cause 2.

I might try to get some Magicka Survival in! The new maps are quite hard, which is awesome. If anyone wants to join me, and doesn't mind connecting to a guy in Perth, leave some comments, and I'll see if we can arrange something!

Just got Bayonetta, and god-damn that game kicks ass. I got no idea what's going on, all I know is I want more.

      lol

Gonna try and finish off Radiant Historia. Then maybe I can give Samurai Warriors and Ghost Recon on 3DS some real play time...

Probably more Flashpoint. Starting to get into the co-op multi player. Let someone else make all the strategic calls and I get to fire at will.

I have it on 360.. If you do too, send FR to FatShady Live

      Cheers,

A bit of Darksiders, a bit of Half Life 2, a bit of Portal 1 (Might go buy Portal 2 for PS3)... and maybe some Scategories/Pictionary.

Picked up The Witcher, hopefully I enjoy it more than Dragon Age Origins.

Fair warning - The Witcher kind of drags in the first 2 chapters. Persevere and you'll be richly rewarded though.

I just ordered Mortal Kombat today (crossing fingers it makes it through), so I wont be playing that til next week. I think this weekend will be filled with SF4 and MvC3 to give my new Hori stick a good workout!

I'm one of the few who is still to pick up Portal 2. I will do it when I get my new card after the PSN thing.

I'll be hitting up some multiplayer minecraft (found my first creeper dungeon last night) as well as some Shift 2. I want to play Crysis 2 as well, but for some reason I haven't had the urge to put it in the console. I really like the game, but I can't work out that one and it's bugging the hell out of me.

Depends whether my replacement xBox arrives in time (i.e. today). Otherwise, I'll be playing the very engrossing but totally depressing sit-and-stare-at-my-now-useless-collection-of-unplayed-games game. If it does arrive, I have way too much work to do to actually play it, but suspect I might be able to spare some time to set it up :)

    Sydney Gamers League!

If only it weren't on the same day as the world cyber games :'( balls.

Finishing off Portal 2 co-op (hopefully). Been playing Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood too so some of that. Probably throw in some RIFT at some stage as well, all the while ignoring the ever growing pile of games sitting on my desk I need to start/finish (Starcraft 2, Red Dead Redemption and Dragon Age 2 to name a couple). Also, my 3DS is being very neglected, I need to finish Ghost Recon.

    Operation Flashpoint RR

Got it last night and have not really played for more than 5 mins.

Looking forward to co op so anyone else have it please let me know.

    360 version
    GT: FatShady Live

I got my copy of mortal kombat yesterday, so will be a weekend of fatalities for me.

Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, then probably crack open Donkey Kong returns and a bit of Minecraft.
