A-ha Takes On Red Faction: Armageddon’s Sketchy New Game Mode

When the ancient alien plagued colonised of the planet Mars meet a popular Norwegian New Wave band, there can be only one outcome: Pipe wrench fight!

THQ and Volition tap ’80s pop sensation A-ha to demonstrate Red Faction: Armageddon‘s delightful Sketch Mode, created in order to “celebrate the Martian passion for hypercolour and keyboard solos”. When they aren’t busy dancing to this one song over and over again, Martian colonists also enjoy destroying things using Volition’s GeoMod 2.0 destruction technology, and Sketch Mode really makes the crumbling buildings and explosions sing.

The effect is so compelling you could almost get trapped in it. If you do, tell Morten Harket to go easy on those corridors he keeps smashing into. They never hurt anyone.

Red Faction: Armageddon ships for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on June 7.
