Community Kudos

Folks, I don’t even know where to start. You guys are incredible. Absolutely amazing. Not only has this been the biggest commenting week in the history of Kotaku, but you also managed to make today, my 30th Birthday, the best day ever.

If you missed it, check out this post – this is what I walked into this morning, bleary-eyed, slightly depressed at leaving my 20s behind. Honestly it set me up for the best Birthday I ever had. Thanks guys, I don’t know how I can possibly make it up to you.

Maybe I could send out the prizes for the massive Community Kudos backlog. Yeah, I’ll do that…

But honestly – I was blown away. Thanks guys.

Thanks to Tadmod for organising it, thanks to Dawdle for the insane amount of time it must have taken to build the birthday message in Minecraft, thanks to every single person who made a pic.

Thanks to Blaghman for singing Friday, and for his Rick Astley rap!

I hope you guys don’t mind, but I’m not going to nominate a single winner for today’s Community Kudos. I know it sounds like a cop out, but I feel like it would almost demean the incredible work done by every single one of you guys to nominate only one winner.

We also had a bunch of nominations…

Hugo The Hungarian Barbarian – you received a tonne of noms for being hilarious, as did Anonymous[insertnamehere]for posting up an absolute storm like a BOSS. Strange was also nominated for generously handing out gig tickets to see another band.

I also saw FatShady doling out codes for the Gears of War 3 beta, and stealing a time machine to go and talk to his 16 year old self on twitter, like a virtual Biff Tannen.

Look, on this occasion, you guys are all winners. You are all utterly amazing human beings. Once again, you make this job the best job in the world.

Thanks for everything! Have a great weekend!
