New Fullmetal Alchemist Game Won’t Cost You An Arm And A Leg

There’s good news and bad news, Fullmetal Alchemist fans. The good news? There’s a new game coming based on Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. The bad news? It looks to be some sort of turn-based card battling game for iOS, Android and Facebook.

Developed by Good Game Productions, Fullmetal Battle allows fans of the anime and manga series create their own state licensed alchemists, battling alongside and against the series’ most popular characters, including limbless wonder and boy-in-a-can. Porn star Roy Mustang (He’s not a porn star? That’s definitely a porn star name) will offer helpful tips as players participate in three-on-three battles, earning experience points and new items and equipment along the way. Players can recruit their friends to their side, or take them out like the pathetic failed experiments they truly are.

“We are huge fans of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, so to have this opportunity to work on the game is extremely exciting,” said Grantley Day, Founder and CEO of Good Game Productions. “Fans of trading card and turn-based RPG’s will love the fast pace, the extensive customisation and the rich storyline of Fullmetal Battle.”

I love me a good trading card game, but I’m hungry for something a little more substantial out of the Fullmetal Alchemist universe. This might do in a pinch, but I’d hack off a limb for a truly great action adventure game based on the series.

Look for Fullmetal Battle to land on the iPhone, iPad, Android and Facebook this (northern) summer.
