You're all grown up now; I get that. You've aged beyond the need for some silly Sesame Street themed game for the Nintendo Wii. I understand and accept your reluctance. It just means there'll be more soft and fuzzy Grover Wii remote covers for me.
Due out this (northern) summer for the Wii and DS, Sesame Street: Ready, Set, Grover! is a game for children with poor manual dexterity and a great love for Muppets. What's it about? Do you really care? If you're getting it for your kids, it doesn't matter as long as they leave you alone for five minutes, and if you're buying it for yourself, you're just getting it from the Grover Wii remote cover. I'm guessing there's learning and fun involved. Hold up; let me read the press release.
"Building life-long healthy habits starts in early childhood. Sesame Street: Ready, Set, Grover! gets kids up and moving though stretching, jumping and dancing, models good hygiene practices and highlights the benefits of healthy food choices through fun and active game play," said Rosemarie Truglio, PhD, Vice President, Education and Research, Sesame Workshop.
That sounds nice. I almost feel bad for wondering if the fuzzy blue cover that comes with the Wii version will fit somewhere brought to you by the letter 'P'.
The DS version of the game comes with an over-sized click stylus, because preschool children are pretty inept. I'm going to stick with the Wii version of Ready, Set Grover! myself. Hopefully not literally.
