Warning! I’m about to spoil a Jimmy Olsen comic. Some villains try to destroy the Earth with giant lasers; others prefer anti-matter. Not Sebastien Mallory. He’s going to use a Superman video game.
And here’s the most unbelievable part of the plot revealed near the end of late March’s Jimmy Olsen one-shot from DC Comics: His plan only works if the Superman video game becomes the most popular video game in the world.
Laughable.
But kind of clever to. Credit comics writer Nick Spencer, the guy who had Captain America comment on Wikileaks last week, for this wonderfully ridiculous plot.
Apologies to those of you for whom I spoiled the twist in the month-old comic. Buy it anyway. There’s plenty of other great material in it. It’s one of the best comics of 2011 so far.
