Aussie Nintendo Store: What to play if EB didn’t sell you Zelda

Aussie Nintendo Store: What to play if EB didn’t sell you Zelda

Well well, if you’ve missed out on Zelda or simply waiting for your copy to come in; sit back, relax and join me as I go over this week’s releases for the eShop and DSiWare. Yep, that’s right, no WiiWare for you this week, well nothing new. Just a demo of NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits, if you haven’t checked it out yet, it’s quite good.

Nintendo eShop (3DS)
Double Dragon (Game Boy, $4.50) – The first version of the classic Double Dragon on a handheld. It’s not quite up to par as say the arcade version, but taking Billy and Jimmy in your pocket immediately makes you more manly. 6 out of 10 scientists confirm it.

Radar Mission (Game Boy, $4.50) – There’s a little bit of a theme with Nintendo’s classic Game Boy games. Take a classic game, add a little bit Nintendo magic and whammo. There you have it. Radar Mission is Battleships in a warm cozy Nintendo coating. Possibly it’s more fun than the mini-game in Steel Diver. Possibly.

Delbo (Neko, DSiWare 200 Points, eShop $3.00) It looks a lot like Bust-A-Move, plays like it too. It’s also probably better than Bust-A-Move Universe which came out for $50 here in Australia. Three dollars gets you in.

Remember you’ve got until July 7th to get 3D Classics Excitebike for free.

But I’m sure you’re all too busy playing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, right folks? Funny story that…

Head to Vooks for all the latest Nintendo news.

    • Nah, Bimmy and Jimmy starred in Double Dragon III on the NES.

This is Double Dragon on the NES, it’s Billy and Billy (Jimmy is the last boss, inexplicably).

The arcade version was Spike and Hammer.

  • Was the Kirby TV Channel mentioned in an older Aussie Nintendo Store update? I looked back through a few of the posts and I think you missed that Wii-ware channel addition. Despite the content actually being 8-10 years old, I think it’s a nice thing of Nintendo to put that on there

    • I sent Serrels a mention of it as I wrote this the other day before the Kirby news dropped. With the Zelda madness he must have missed my correction.

But yeah the Kirby channel is quite awesome.

  • Picked up my Zelda and then heard the guy tell the nice salesgirl, that’s the last ocarina edition.. No more. Yay for me, sorry to the guy in line behind me =(

  • Wheres my NES Double Dragon II. I love that game! punch x3 -> step forward -> down+A x2, up+A = Kill (almost) everything. Hopefully next week! 🙂

  • Thank goodness I preordered Zelda yesterday! And I remember my school giving me Radar Mission simply because it had been in lost property for so long they didn’t know what to do with it. I don’t know how little kids keep track of their DS games nowadays, being so small and all.
